Laundry Drains
It’s pretty frustrating when you are trying to clean you and your families laundry when the drain backs up. Typically but not always the water starts coming up the laundry room floor drain and you sometimes don’t understand why? Where the water is coming from? Then you put two and two together that when you run the washer the water starts pouring out of the floor drain. Don’t worry we can clean your laundry drain and get you back to washing your clothes.
Clogged Toilets
One of the worst things to deal with is a clogged toilet. Sometimes it’s a simple fix that a plunger can easily clear and other times a good plunging won’t do. This is a common fixture tends to collect foreign objects such as: toys, hair ties, flossers, cellphones, and many other items that accidently fall into and get flushed. We recommend not storing items above the toilet lid and keeping both lids closed at all times to prevent these items from dropping in the toilet.
Main lines
If you ask me this is the absolute worst clog! This is because no matter what drain you use in your home it backs up somewhere, whether that’s a floor drain, tub, or even sink! The water will typically show up in the lowest point or drain in your home. No matter where it shows up it is raw sewage entering your home and causing a total disruption of your plumbing system. You can’t shower, flush the toilet, wash your hands, or do the dishes as the more water you run the more it backs up inside your home.
Floor Drains
Typically a clogged floor drain is really a laundry line and/or main line clog. But sometimes from mopping these drains also can become clogged or depending on what is the drain is used for.
Tub Drains
A clogged tub drain is one of those drains that commonly plugs up. This is due to soap, shampoo, and body washes what happens is these leave a residue on your pipes and this residue is almost like a sticky substance that collects everything that goes down the tub drain. Which includes hair, while a couple strands aren’t going to clog your drain. However, over time those couple strands turn into thousands creating a ball of hair into a plug that prevents water from draining. Other objects such as stickers from bottles, caps, and even toys sometimes can go down these drains and collect hair, soap, and cause them to back up.
Bathroom Sink Drains
When you think of a bathroom sink drain what is the first things that come to your mind? Washing your hands, shaving, cleaning off your makeup. Well over time hair, makeup, shaving cream, soap, and grime build up in your bathroom drain and cause it to plug up. To help prevent this from happening after shaving or rinsing any type of dirt, debri, hair from shaving or removing your makeup you should run hot water for a couple of seconds after performing these tasks helping push these things from the smaller drain into the main line which is much harder to clog with small amounts of hair etc…
Kitchen Sink Drains
Your kitchen sink drain is one of the drains in your home that takes some of the most abuse. This is because we intentionally put things in this drain through the garbage disposal. Left overs, apple cores, and all types of food go down this thing into the drain.
It’s no wonder it clogs up frequently. To help prevent future clogs we recommend avoiding putting things such as rice, noodles, chicken bones, and egg shells in your garbage disposal or drain. While your disposal may say it can tackle chicken bones your pipes usually can’t!
Rice & noodles may be soft and easily pass through the disposal they typically expand with water causing them to become bigger and bigger and then they dry out becoming hard and sticking to the inside of your pipes and collecting everything down the drain and eventually causing it to back up.
Egg shells should be avoided because they turn into sand and a cable isn’t going to clear sand from your drains which means it has to be hydro-jetted to remove the sand and jetting requires water and where does water go when its plugged? It’s not so easy to clean a drain full of sand!
