The Drain Cleaning Process

The Steps Involved With Main Line Drain Cleaning

\
01.

The very first step to clearing a main line is identifying the best and easiest access to the main line trunk.  Whether this be an accessible clean out or having to pull a toilet and on the rare occasion through the roof vent.

\

02.

The second step is prepping the area.  This involves laying down drop cloths and other material to prevent contamination.  Bringing in the machines, tools, and equipment needed to perform the job.

\

03.

The last step is running the machine, clearing the drain, and ensuring it works properly and going back and forth several times with different blades.  Then of course cleaning up our mess and testing to make sure the main line is free & clear!

Drain Cleaning Options

Main Line Options

You have several options when it comes to cleaning your main line.  Such as clearing the clog with a cable machine or hydro jetting.  If you choose hydro jetting we still clear the main line with a cable first and then follow after with the hydro jetter ensuring we fully remove the build up.

Hydro Jetting Vs Cable Cleaning Your Main Line

Cable Cleaning

Main line cable cleaning is great for tree roots, build up of baby wipes, feminine hygiene products, and other foreign objects.  Even if you decide to go with the hydro jetting you should make sure to have the main line cleared with a cable first.  This helps remove hard build up and remove any items that the jetter may struggle to clear.

Main Line Hydro Jetting

With hydro jetting it is fantastic at clearing grease, grime, and build up and restoring the drain to almost new.  It’s a great option when your drain has dirt, sand, or other material that a cable will not clear.
